Visser & Van Baars is seeking a Data Analyst for their Brussels office within the insurance sector. You will combine data from multiple sources to deliver clear, actionable insights that support strategic decisions and day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities include building dashboards and reports, profiling data quality, and collaborating with business and IT stakeholders to translate questions into data-driven answers. Fluency in English and Dutch or French is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Analysis, BI, Reporting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Knowledge of Python or R is a strong plus.
• Good understanding of data modelling and data warehousing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive, structured and comfortable working independently.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional level of English and fluent in either Dutch or French.

Responsabilités

• Collect, prepare and analyse data from different internal and external sources
• Clean and validate datasets while keeping a strong focus on data quality
• Identify trends, patterns and opportunities through data analysis
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports and visualisations
• Translate business questions into meaningful data insights
• Work closely with business, IT and operational teams to understand their reporting and analytical needs
• Support ad hoc analyses and data-driven decision-making
• Contribute to improving reporting processes, data quality and analytical capabilities
• Stay up to date with new tools and developments within Data & Analytics
