Aubon Aubay Belgium is seeking an Experienced Functional Analyst specialized in Data for a long-term Brussels assignment. You will bridge business and IT by defining functional requirements and contributing to data-driven IT solutions within the Downstream Data & IT team.

Requirements include 6+ years as a Functional Analyst in IT, strong Data Management, SQL, data modelling and Data Warehousing knowledge, plus basic Python. Energy market familiarity is a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
• 6+ years as a Functional Analyst in IT.
• Solid knowledge of Data Management, SQL, data modelling and Data Warehousing.
• Basic Python knowledge and understanding of the energy market.
• Familiarity with Agile, Azure DevOps, Power BI, Databricks/PySpark and energy trading/forecasting is an asset.
• Analytical, solution-oriented and able to communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

DATA ANALYSIS / DATA MANAGEMENT / SQL / DATA MODELLING / ENERGY

On behalf of our client, a major player in the energy sector, we are recruiting an Experienced Functional Analyst specialized in Data for a long-term assignment within the Downstream Data & IT team in Brussels.

As part of the team, you will bridge the gap between business and technical teams by analysing business needs, defining functional requirements and contributing to the delivery of data-driven IT solutions.

Tasks:

Here are the main tasks that you'll be involved in:

• Gather and analyse business requirements through documentation reviews, workshops and grooming sessions.
• Perform data analysis and create Python PoCs to support data-driven solutions.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, including PBIs, use cases and process designs.
• Define test cases, perform integration testing and support business users during acceptance testing (UAT).
• Act as the link between business and development teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Ensure timely delivery, monitor production activities and contribute to application maintenance.

Profile:

• You hold a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree and have at least 6 years of experience as a Functional Analyst in IT.
• You have solid knowledge of Data Management, SQL, data modelling and Data Warehousing.
• You have basic Python knowledge and an understanding of the energy market.
• Familiarity with Agile, Azure DevOps, Power BI, Databricks/PySpark and energy trading or forecasting is an asset.
• You are analytical, solution-oriented and an effective communicator, able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
