Job summary

Visser & Van Baars is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and optimise data pipelines for client projects across Belgium. You’ll work with Snowflake, dbt and modern platforms like Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, contributing to scalable data solutions.

With 2–3+ years in data engineering, you’ll translate business needs into robust data workflows, collaborate across teams, and continuously grow your technical expertise in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong SQL skills and solid data modelling and engineering principles.
• Hands-on with Snowflake and dbt, or strong background in data platforms and transformation tools.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Develop scalable data transformation workflows using SQL, Snowflake and dbt.
• Work with data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake and Databricks.
• Contribute to robust, maintainable and high-quality data solutions.
• Monitor data quality, performance and reliability; ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, Architects and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Take ownership of your work and continuously explore new tools and technologies.
