Job summary

Netcompany Belgium seeks a BI Data Engineer to join a pan-European team delivering data lakehouse and BI platforms.

You will design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, data models and dashboards, while ensuring governance, quality and observability across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Fluent English is required, French a plus, and you will contribute to large-scale projects for European institutions with a diverse, growth‑minded team.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• Excellent English communication; French knowledge is a plus.
• Strong experience with Data Lake/Data Lakehouse design patterns and core tools.
• Hands-on SQL with PostgreSQL and data modeling knowledge.
• Proficient in Python with PySpark for data processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a modern Data Lakehouse and BI platforms.
• Design BI architectures across cloud/on-prem/hybrid environments with governance.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data contracts; manage schema evolution.
• Migrate legacy data flows and ensure data quality, lineage and observability.
• Create data models (dimensional) and BI dashboards/reports for analytics.
