Job summary

Primus Connect is seeking a Data Engineer in Belgium to join a large international organisation undergoing a data and digital transformation. You will own and evolve a centralised data platform, building end-to-end data pipelines from source systems to the platform.

You'll work hands-on with Databricks, PySpark, Azure, and Data Factory, shaping data modelling and ETL across relational and non-relational stores.

If you're a Data Engineer who enjoys building things properly, working with modern data platforms and having a genuine say in how data infrastructure evolves, this could be a really interesting one.

I'm currently recruiting for a Data Engineer to join a large, international organisation going through a significant digital and data transformation.

What you'll be doing

You'll play a key role in developing and evolving a centralised data platform, taking ownership of data pipelines from source systems through to the wider data platform.

You'll be working hands-on with:

• Databricks, including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog
• PySpark for large-scale data transformation and processing
• Azure, including Data Factory, Data Lake Storage and DevOps
• Azure SQL Server and existing data warehouse environments
• ELT, REST APIs and JSON
• Data modelling across relational and non-relational technologies
• Pipeline development, optimisation and maintenance

You'll also work closely with Data Architects, technical teams and business stakeholders to turn real business challenges into scalable data solutions.

What we're looking for

You'll ideally have strong commercial experience across Databricks, PySpark and Azure, alongside a solid understanding of data engineering principles, data modelling and pipeline architecture.

Just as importantly, you'll be comfortable talking to stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical solutions. Experience with Power BI would be a bonus.
