Job summary

Koda Tech is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join its growing data and analytics team in Brussels on a long-term contract. You will design, develop and optimise cloud-based data platforms, delivering scalable data solutions to empower decision-making across the business.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of data engineering experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Azure data services.
• Strong SQL and large-scale data handling.
• Experience with Python and data transformation frameworks.
• Familiarity with Databricks and Spark desirable.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud-native data platforms and architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain robust Azure-based data pipelines.
• Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data.
• Integrate data from various internal and external sources.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, security and governance standards are met.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data platform architecture and performance.
• Support deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting of data solutions.

Required Experience

• 5-7 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets.
• Experience with Python and data transformation frameworks.
• Knowledge of Databricks and Spark is highly desirable.
• Experience building cloud-native data platforms and modern data architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps best practices.
