Job summary

Neurho Solutions, a Belgian IT and business consultancy, seeks a Data Engineer to strengthen a development team handling high-volume, auditable traffic-fines processing. You will connect business needs to reliable data, apply DevOps practices to BI and prepare data for future AI applications.

You will translate information needs into data requirements, define data models and KPIs, and collaborate with stakeholders to build robust data pipelines and BI publishing layers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience with Apache Superset.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with PostgreSQL, Python and SAS.
• Strong experience in ETL/ELT, CI/CD and data quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Translate information needs into data requirements and user stories with the Product Owner and analysts.
• Define data models, lineage and coordinate BI questions with the team and stakeholders.
• Build and monitor data quality controls, investigate anomalies and report on quality.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes and a reliable publishing layer for BI tools (Power BI, Superset, SAS Visual Analytics).
• Set up CI/CD, automated tests, monitoring and controlled releases for data pipelines, models and reports.
• Contribute to the data platform evolution and ensure GDPR compliance and auditability.

Job description

We are looking for a Data Engineer to strengthen a development team working on the digital processing of traffic fines. The work supports high-volume, traceable processing while keeping human oversight of important decisions. You will connect business needs with reliable data and reporting, apply DevOps practices to BI and help prepare data for future AI applications.

Your role

• Translate information needs, standards and security requirements into data requirements and user stories with the Product Owner and functional analysts.
• Define data and KPIs, document models and lineage, and coordinate data and BI questions with the development team and stakeholders.
• Build and monitor data quality controls, investigate anomalies and report on quality.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes and a reliable publishing layer for BI tools, including SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI and Apache Superset.
• Set up CI/CD, automated tests, monitoring and controlled releases for data pipelines, models and reports. Help resolve incidents.
• Contribute to the evolution of the data platform, prepare secure and documented datasets for AI, and support auditability, information security and GDPR compliance.

• At least one year of experience with Apache Superset.
• At least five years of experience with Azure Data Factory.
• At least one year of experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
• At least five years of experience with ETL.
• At least five years of experience with GitHub.
• At least five years of experience with PostgreSQL.

• Passive knowledge of French at A2 level.

• At least five years as a Data Engineer, with experience in the role within the last three years.
• An ICT-related master's degree or bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing or business intelligence.
• At least two years in a development team using CI/CD.
• Experience translating business and quality needs into data requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Experience setting up and monitoring data quality controls.
• DAMA CDMP or another data management or data quality certification.
• A cloud data engineer or DevOps certification.
• Expert-level SQL.
