Google Belgium is seeking an Operations Technician to join the Hardware Operations team. You will install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware (servers and components) and server software (Google's Linux cluster).

You’ll also configure more complex components like networks, routers, hubs, switches and protocols. In this role you may lead small projects, develop contingency plans, and participate in large installations, with physical work moving racks and possible demanding hours.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Deploy, maintain, and support Google Cloud region infrastructure.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolve escalated technical issues regarding affected equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs; configure OS related issues on servers.
• Resolve technical issues using different tools until final resolution, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Work non-standard hours, including weekends, nights, holidays, and shift-based schedules as needed.

• Contribute to and lead efforts/projects in the deployment, maintenance, and support of Google Cloud region (e.g., cloud data center) infrastructure.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolve escalated technical issues regarding affected equipment.
• Help test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs. Configure and troubleshoot Operating System (OS) related issues on the server.
• Resolve technical issues (e.g., hardware, software, application, operational, process) using different tools until final resolution, communicating with different stakeholders.
• Work non-standard hours, including working weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as needed.
