Google Belgium is seeking a Hardware Operations Engineer to keep data center hardware and networks running smoothly. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot physical servers, switches, and cabling across our facilities, and lead technical upgrades. The role requires endurance for shift work, on-call duties, and occasional travel between sites.
Salary is €68,000–€70,000 per year with a 15% bonus target, equity, and comprehensive benefits; compensation reflects experience and training.
The Hardware Operations team is responsible for the equipment behind Google's technology.
As an Engineer on our team, your job is to keep the hardware and networks physically connected and running smoothly in our data centers. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot physical servers, network switches, and cabling. When something breaks, you will be the one diagnosing the hardware issue and making the repair. You will also help to lead projects during major facility upgrades and new equipment rollouts. You will use tools, manually move server racks, and navigate an industrial environment.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
