Google Cloud Platform team is hiring for a role within the Scaled Solutions group focused on Server Operations. You will work across data centers globally, diagnosing blockers, designing internal tools, and creating standardized playbooks to enable autonomous resolution of issues.

You will partner with Engineering and Server Operations, influence prioritization across teams, and contribute to cost savings and operational excellence through scalable processes and AI-enabled infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with two or more of the following: Web Technology, Data or Big Data, Systems Administration, Machine Learning, Networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, and SAP.
• 5 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customers' needs, and triaging technical issues (e.g., hardware, software, application, operational, process).
• Experience owning a full life-cycle of technical projects including design, development, maintenance, and implementing improvements.
• Experience reading code in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go, JavaScript) or in system design.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and troubleshoot data center blockers and stakeholder concerns to achieve swift resolution.
• Design, improve, and iterate on internal tools, software, and automated frameworks to streamline the issue management life-cycle.
• Create standardized technical playbooks and processes that enable the Google Server Operations team to manage and resolve issues autonomously.
• Partner with Engineering and Server Operations stakeholders to investigate, identify, and fix the fundamental root causes of negative business outcomes.
• Manage project schedules and timelines while fostering engagement with various cross-functional partners and providing essential business support by participating in weekend on-call duties or assigned work shift rotations.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience developing backend applications or shell scripts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively to discuss prioritization between organizations.

Finland: €72000 - €73500 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
