Job summary

emagine is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Analyst to join its international Applications team. You will work with stakeholders, Product Owners and Developers to support, improve and standardise the D365 Finance environment across processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Dynamics 365 Finance or related finance ERP consulting
• Broad functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance
• Ability to understand cross-functional dependencies between finance processes

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into practical functional solutions within D365 Finance.
• Support and improve existing Finance processes and configurations.
• Investigate functional incidents, identify root causes and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Understand dependencies between different Finance modules and business processes.
• Challenge business requirements and prioritise standard D365 functionalities over unnecessary customisations.
• Collaborate with developers and other Functional Analysts on system improvements and change requests.
• Support system releases, testing and ongoing application lifecycle management.
• Communicate proactively with business stakeholders and ask the right questions to clarify functional needs.
• Take ownership of issues and contribute to continuous improvement.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Analyst to join an international Applications team.

The ideal candidate has a broad understanding of D365 Finance processes, strong analytical skills and a business-oriented mindset.

We are not looking for a specialist in one specific Finance area, but rather a well-rounded professional who understands how different financial processes interact, can identify dependencies and knows how to approach complex functional issues.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Functional Analysts and Developers to support, improve and further standardise the D365 Finance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into practical functional solutions within D365 Finance.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Dynamics 365 Finance, Finance ERP consulting or functional analysis.
• Broad functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance.
• General understanding of:
• Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• VAT reporting and declarations
• Electronic Reporting (ER)
• Fixed Assets
• Posting Profiles
• General Ledger and financial processes
• Ability to understand how Finance processes interact and identify cross-functional dependencies.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to formulate relevant questions, investigate issues and find appropriate solutions independently.
• Experience translating business needs into functional requirements.
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment.
• Good communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

• Previous professional experience in accounting or financial operations.
• Experience transitioning from an accounting role into ERP/IT consulting.
• Background in an established Microsoft Dynamics implementation or consulting partner.
• Experience in environments with extensive customisations and a transition towards standard D365 functionality.
• Knowledge of French.
