Harvey Nash Belgium is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Coordinator to lead and coordinate our cybersecurity program within IT Security. You will ensure alignment between security strategy, regulatory requirements, and operational teams, while supporting policy implementation and risk mitigation across the organization.

In this hybrid role, you will report to the Information Security Manager, manage stakeholder expectations, and deliver clear dashboards and progress reports to senior management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in IT project management and/or cybersecurity coordination.
• Experience with cybersecurity governance programs.
• Knowledge of NIS2 initiatives is an asset.
• Fluent in Dutch or French; English is an advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Senior Cybersecurity Coordinator

Role Overview

The Senior Cybersecurity Coordinator operates within the IT Security department and reports to the Information Security Manager. The role is responsible for coordinating cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring alignment between security strategy, regulatory requirements, and operational teams.

The Senior Cybersecurity Coordinator plays a key role in managing the cybersecurity programme, supporting the implementation of security policies, and ensuring continuous monitoring of security actions and risks.

Main Responsibilities

Cybersecurity Program & Project Coordination

• Coordinate and monitor the cybersecurity program, ensuring consistency and alignment across different departments and stakeholders.
• Manage the cybersecurity project portfolio within the framework of regulatory requirements, including NIS2 compliance initiatives.
• Ensure effective coordination between business, IT, and security teams.
• Support operational teams in integrating security requirements into their processes and projects.

Security Governance & Compliance

• Contribute to the translation of security policies into practical security guidelines and directives.
• Ensure alignment with cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support the implementation and follow-up of security improvement plans.
• Monitor progress on cybersecurity actions and ensure risk mitigation activities are followed.

Reporting & Communication

• Provide clear reporting on program progress, security maturity, and risk coverage.
• Create and maintain dashboards and management reports to support decision-making.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and Information Security Management.
• Expert understanding of ISO 27001 / ISO 27K standards and security governance practices.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity threats, risks, and mitigation approaches.
• Knowledge of security technologies and cybersecurity processes.
• Proven experience in IT project management and cybersecurity program coordination.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder environments.

• Fluent in Dutch or French (native/bilingual level).
• English is considered an advantage.
