Job summary

EUROPEAN SPACE AGENCY in Europe seeks a Cyber Security/Reverse Engineer for the System Security Section to support a national project. You will work on end-to-end system security across space, ground and user segments, developing and evaluating security capabilities, and directing vulnerability assessments and secure design reviews.

The role involves hands-on reverse engineering, binary analysis, and advanced security research in a multidisciplinary environment, with emphasis on laboratory

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in reverse engineering, exploitation and vulnerability assessment across IT and embedded-system technologies.
• Knowledge of binary analysis and static/dynamic analysis of native binaries.
• Disassembly and decompilation on ELF/PE formats; familiarity with ARM/ARM64, RISC-V and x86.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager with recommendations, guidance and plans for test and evaluation laboratory capability development.
• Provide regular status reports on duties assigned under the project.
• Advise national customers and ESA experts on options for developing security evaluation capabilities.
• Derive technical requirements and review security design, development, implementation, and validation proposals.
• Foster new security application areas for multidisciplinary activities in reverse engineering and security labs.
• Support laboratory activities as required and monitor technological developments.
