Catalyst Talent Strategy Consulting is assisting a global leader in e-commerce logistics with a Belgium-based role focused on customs clearance excellence. You will develop and implement strategies to enhance clearance capabilities and oversee all shipments.

You will liaise with authorities, manage documentation, train staff, and analyze data to optimize processes while staying current on tax laws and regulations. Strong English and French skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years front-line customs clearance experience for B2C.
• Fluent in English and French.

Our client is a global leader in e-commerce logistics, providing cross-border e-commerce logistics services worldwide with a main EU injection facility in Liege. It is a leading company in cross-border ecommerce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the company's customs clearance capability.
• Oversee the customs clearance process for all shipments, ensuring compliance with local customs regulations and requirements.
• Manage customs clearance documentation and procedures, including tariff classifications, valuation, and duty calculations.
• Liaise with customs authorities, agents, and relevant parties to resolve issues and ensure timely clearance of goods.
• Stay informed about changes in customs regulations, tax laws, and rules, and update internal processes accordingly.
• Train and educate staff on customs clearance processes and requirements.
• Analyze customs clearance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of front-line customs clearance experience for B2C customs.
• Proficiency in both English and French languages.
• Strong knowledge of local customs regulations, tax laws, and rules.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling customs documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in managing customs clearance processes is preferred.
