Puratos in Belgium seeks a Credit Controller Belux to safeguard financial health by ensuring effective credit management, healthy cash flow, and proactive risk mitigation. You will partner with Sales, Customer Service and Finance teams to optimize working capital while supporting profitable growth.

This role requires multilingual communication across Dutch, French and English, a solid 5-year track record in credit control, and experience with SAP/Excel within a multinational environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance or related field.
At least 5 years in credit control or related finance role.
Fluent in Dutch, French and English or comfortable in a multilingual environment.
Experience with SAP, Excel, and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical, solution-oriented, and prioritization skills.
Confident communicator and collaborative team player.

Responsabilités

Manage credit and collection activities for the Belux region, ensuring timely payment collection and effective follow-up of outstanding receivables.
Assess customer creditworthiness and support the definition and monitoring of appropriate credit limits.
Monitor customer exposure and payment behaviour, identify risks proactively, and initiate collection actions where needed.
Contribute to healthy cash flow performance by reducing overdue balances, minimizing doubtful debts, and supporting DSO improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and group guidelines, while maintaining accurate and reliable financial and ERP data.
Support audits and financial reporting activities, ensuring high standards of accuracy and governance.
Drive process improvements and digitalization initiatives that enhance efficiency, reporting quality, and data-driven decision-making.
Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, acting as a constructive partner in resolving payment-related matters.

Who are we looking for?

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or you have equivalent experience.
You have at least 5 years of experience in credit control, collections, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role.
You are fluent in Dutch, French, and English or are comfortable working in a multilingual environment.
You have experience working with SAP, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
You combine strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to prioritize effectively.
You communicate confidently and build positive relationships while remaining appropriately assertive when needed.
You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working across departments to achieve common goals.
You are motivated by continuous improvement and actively seek opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
