Puratos Belgium is seeking a Teamleader for our R&D Samples Department. You will lead a team of coordinators and technicians, ensuring a reliable sample experience for customers worldwide and driving continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, IT and other stakeholders in an international environment, defining priorities, coaching people and leveraging digital tools like SAP S/4 and Power BI to boost service levels and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of team leadership or supervision experience.
• Background in supply chain, warehousing, or logistics.
• Excellent people management and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead, coach and develop a team of coordinators and technicians.
• Ensure smooth daily operations across the full sample flow.
• Act as escalation point for complex sample requests.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders worldwide.
• Support digital and automation tool development.
• Review and improve processes and service standards.
• Drive digitalization and automation initiatives (SAP S/4, Power BI, etc.).
• Define and monitor KPIs and service levels.

What you will do

• Lead, coach and develop a team of coordinators and technicians , creating a constructive, collaborative and accountable team culture with clear roles, priorities and ways of working.
• Ensure smooth daily operations across the full sample flow , including request analysis, sample preparation, repacking, stock management, shipment coordination and follow-up with internal stakeholders.
• Act as the key escalation point for complex sample requests and service issues , ensuring transparent communication and timely decision-making.
• Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders within an international work environment , including R&D, different (Strategic) Business Units, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Customer Care, Marketing, Quality, IT, Warehousing, affiliates and other stakeholders to align expectations and improve the service level of the department.
• You support accurate and proactive communication to all relevant stakeholders internally and externally, and request, develop or optimize digital and automation tools in that perspective.
• Review, document and continuously improve processes and service standards to increase quality, efficiency, scalability and operational continuity.
• Drive simplification, digitalization and automation initiatives by optimizing the use of tools such as SAP S/4, Power BI, webshop solutions, OutSystems and other digital platforms.
• Define, monitor and follow up relevant KPI’s and service levels to support data-driven decisions, corrective actions and continuous improvement within the department.

Who are we looking for?

• You have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of experience as a team lead/supervisor , preferably with a background in supply chain, warehousing, logistics, customer service, operations or a related field.
• You bring strong people management skills and are able to create trust, clarity and engagement in a team that needs structure, transparency and positive leadership.
• You are confident in making decisions, setting priorities and addressing challenges , combining firmness with empathy.
• You have a strong process mindset and enjoy analyzing ways of working, identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical improvements that make operations leaner and more reliable.
• You are customer-oriented and stakeholder-focused , with the ability to understand business needs, translate them into service improvements and build strong internal partnerships.
• You have a good affinity with digital tools and systems , with SAP knowledge considered important and openness to learning tools such as Power BI, webshop solutions,…
• You communicate fluently in English and French . Dutch is considered a strong asset.
