Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Belgium seeks an Automation Engineer for Life Sciences to design, develop, and maintain automated systems in GMP environments. You will work on PLC/SCADA/DCS/HMI solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance through GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, and EU Annex 11.

The role requires hands-on automation experience, knowledge of GMP standards, and collaboration with process engineers, QA, and validation teams in a multilingual Brussels setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in industrial automation in Life Sciences
• Experience with PLC/SCADA/DCS/HMI in GMP environments
• Knowledge of GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11 and related standards
• Ability to collaborate with process engineering, QA, and validation teams
• Fluent in French and/or Dutch and English, Brussels multilingual setting

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission automation systems (PLC/SCADA/DCS/HMI) for GMP facilities.
• Develop and document automation software aligning with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation needs and ensure project delivery.
• Troubleshoot automation issues, perform root cause analyses, implement corrective actions.
• Support qualification/validation activities and prepare validation documentation (URS/FS/DS/test protocols).
