AmRest Holdings SE is seeking a Core Site Designer to own site design requests for data centre installations, covering cabling, in-rack positioning and power. You will collaborate with field engineers and requestors to ensure compliant, cost-efficient solutions and maintain CMDB data quality.

The role requires at least 2 years of field experience in data centre installations, fluent English and either French or Dutch. An on-call duty posture is expected to support Network Operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years field experience in data centre installations.
• CMDB/network design tool experience is a plus.
• Willing to be on-call for Network Operations incidents.
• Fluent English and French or Dutch.

Are you experienced in installations in data center environments and passionate about planning and designing reliable, efficient installation? We are seeking a dedicated Core Site Designer to take ownership of site design requests, ensuring optimal solutions for our data center installations projects. If you have hands-on field experience and a proactive mindset, this is your chance to contribute to our core site infrastructure deployment!

What You Will Do:

• Lead the design of core site requests related to equipment installations, including cabling, in-rack positioning and power.
• Collaborate with requestors and field engineers to develop effective, compliant, and cost-efficient design solutions.
• Ensure all designs adhere to established site criteria, guidelines, and operational agreements.
• Maintain high-quality data in the CMDB, documenting all design elements accurately.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality and design processes.

Your profile:

• Minimum 2 years experience working with data centre installations on the field
• Experience with a CMDB/network design tool is a plus
• You are ready to be involved in a on-duty service to support Network Operations in case of incidents.
• Technical knowledge of d ata centre environment, c abling (fiber copper), c onnectors, r acks, d ata centre cooling criteria: cold/hot corridor, cooling airflow, etc)
• Electricity: theoretical knowledge of direct current and of high and low voltage alternating current; knowledge of electrical installations; BA4 or necessary skills to obtain a BA4 certifications
• Fluent English and French or Dutch
