Reboot Monkey in Vilvoorde, BE is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to support mission-critical infrastructure on-site. This full-time role covers hardware installations, cabling, server racking, and on-call rotations, with standard hours and opportunities for career growth.

You will work with Dell/HP/Supermicro gear, document work with photos and notes, coordinate with remote NOC and client teams, and bring strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a; fiber).
• Server hardware experience (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• English communication skills.
• On-site presence and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams
• Familiarity with DCIM and ticketing systems - preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations


• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)


• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling


• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work


• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues


• Document all work with photos and detailed notes


• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams


• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience


• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber)


• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro)


• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments


• Own transportation and ability to work on-site


• Professional communication skills in English


• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, or similar) - preferred


• Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) - preferred


• Experience with DCIM and ticketing systems - preferred


• Familiarity with major colocation providers - preferred


• Standard tools: screwdrivers, cable testers, label makers, fiber inspection equipment
