Medpace, Inc. in Leuven, Belgium, is seeking a Contract Specialist to own the life cycle of clinical site agreements from drafting through finalization.

This full-time role requires strong negotiation, risk assessment, and collaboration with internal teams while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or Sciences.
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience; preferred but not required.
  • Prior contract negotiation experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong Dutch and English written and spoken communication skills; French is a plus.

Responsabilités

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize Clinical Site Agreements or other site-specific legal agreements for a clinical study.
  • Act as the first-line subject matter expert for CSA strategy, timelines and expectations in your country.
  • Negotiate within client-approved templates and parameters.
  • Build strong site/external stakeholder relationships to accelerate CSA negotiations.
  • Identify and assess legal, financial, and operational risks and elevate appropriate stakeholders.
  • Provide recommendations and alternative resolutions during negotiations using escalation channels.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to align site startup activities with contractual timelines.
  • Stay updated with applicable local regulations impacting clinical trial contracts.

Job Summary

Our Site Contracts Team is currently seeking a full-time, Contract Specialist to join our Sites Contracts Team in Leuven. This position plays a key role in the study start-up and clinical trial management processes at Medpace. As a Site Contract Specialist, you will have full responsibility for the life cycle of each contract through the preparation, negotiation, and finalization of contracts. Responsibilities
  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing Clinical Site Agreements or other Site specific legal agreements required for a clinical study;
  • Act as first-line subject matter expert for your respective country regarding CSA strategy, timelines and expectations for all such CSA execution elements and challenges.
  • Negotiate within client approved contract and budget templates and negotiation parameters;
  • Build strong site/external stakeholder relationships, to accelerate Site contract negotiations.
  • Identify and assesses legal, financial, and operational risks and elevate appropriate Contract Lead/ Contract Manager or other internal stakeholders;
  • Provide recommendations and alternative resolutions throughout negotiations using established escalation channels;
  • Coordinate with internal functional departments to ensure various site startup activities are aligned with contractual process and mutually agreed up timelines; and
  • Keep up to date with applicable local regulations impacting clinical trial contracts.
