Job summary

ICF Olson seeks an experienced professional to support international multi-stakeholder consultations for EU-level policy dialogues. You will help design, facilitate, and document outcomes with civil society networks and government actors.

The role requires strong writing, coordination, and moderation skills, plus experience with databases and digital platforms in a policy context. Fluency in English and another major EU language is expected.

Qualifications

• Master or equivalent in political science, IR, development cooperation, economics, communication, or related field.
• Bachelor plus 3 years of experience acceptable with 7 years general professional experience.
• 5+ years in facilitation and multi-stakeholder consultations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, facilitate and report back from international multi-stakeholder consultations/dialogues.
• Maintain database updates and moderation of digital platforms.

Project Summary

The overall objective (Impact) to which this action contributes is: To assist the European Commission in facilitating spaces for dialogue (in-person and virtual) and consultations at global and regional level with civil society networks, foundations and associations of local authorities and EU institutions and Member States, mainly through the Policy Forum on Development (PFD), and ad hoc consultations. To support the European Commission in exploring new avenues of cooperation with CSOs, foundations and LAs and guiding the organisations in this regard. To contribute to the drafting of concept notes, regular updates on policy issues related to and raised by civil society, foundations and associations of local authorities and contribute in background papers, and other material relevant for the dialogue.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least a university degree (Master or equivalent) in one of these fields: political science, international relations, development cooperation, economics, communication, or relevant discipline directly relevant for the assignment.
• This diploma may be replaced by a Bachelor degree (or equivalent) plus 3 years of work experience in addition to the 7 years requirement under the general professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years in facilitation and moderation of multi-stakeholders’ consultation activities.
• Demonstrated experience of at least 3 years in drafting of reports, policy papers, background documents, agenda and concept notes.
• C1 level of English C1 level of either French or Spanish At least B2 level of the other language (French or Spanish, as applicable) will be considered as an asset.

General Professional Experience

• At least 7 years of professional experience in fields related to multistakeholder engagement in policy processes and dialogues with international organisations and/or state actors.
• Professional experience in the field of communication will be considered as an asset.

Specific Professional Experience

• Professional experience of at least 3 years in preparing, facilitating and reporting back from international multi-stakeholder consultations/dialogues.
• Professional experience of at least 1 year in database management.
• Professional experience of at least 1 year in update and moderation of digital communication platforms.
