Deloitte Belgium's Debt & Capital Advisory team is seeking a Consultant specializing in infrastructure projects to deliver debt advisory and capital structuring.

You will develop sophisticated financial models, support transaction processes, and work with clients, banks, and investors across Belgium and the Netherlands, contributing to pitches and market research while growing within a global advisory network.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2–6 years of relevant transactional experience in debt financing for infrastructure.
• Strong analytical and technical skills; high attention to detail and quality under pressure.
• Proficient financial modelling (F1F9/FAST) and MS Office.
• Commercial mindset with understanding of debt products and project finance.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsabilités

• Deliver debt and capital advisory for infrastructure projects within the DCA team.
• Assist with structuring optimal capital solutions and fundraising for major assets.
• Lead development of sophisticated financial models and scenario analyses.
• Prepare transaction materials and manage client/investor communications.

This Is Your Opportunity To Join Deloitte’s Fast-growing Debt & Capital Advisory (“DCA”) Team As a Consultant Specializing In Infrastructure Projects

• You will join a team that delivers unique and independent debt & capital advice for the complex and strategic financing challenges our clients face within the dynamic infrastructure sector.
• You assist clients in achieving their funding goals for a wide range of infrastructure assets, including advising on optimal capital structures, development financing, and debt and (quasi-) equity raising for major capital projects.
• You have first-line involvement in transaction processes for infrastructure deals, including negotiations, management presentations, detailed financial analyses, and crucial client/investor communications.
• You are in charge of leading the development of sophisticated financial models, conducting robust scenario analyses, preparing compelling transaction marketing materials, and playing a critical role in the actual debt raising processes for infrastructure assets.
• You assist Managers, Directors & Partners in growing our infrastructure and capital projects debt advisory business by preparing and participating in pitches, conducting in-depth industry/company/transaction research specific to infrastructure, and leveraging existing client relationships.
• You work on diverse infrastructure debt advisory projects, maintaining continuous dialogue with clients, commercial banks, development finance institutions, infrastructure funds and investors, and their advisors.
• You work closely with your direct colleagues of DCA across Belgium & the Netherlands, and within Deloitte’s global Debt & Capital Advisory network, particularly with our dedicated infrastructure sector teams.

Let’s talk about you

• You hold a Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• You bring 2 to 6 years of relevant (transactional) experience in debt financing, specifically within infrastructure projects, from a bank, fund, international consulting firm, or can demonstrate equivalent experience.
• You have strong analytical & technical skills, are highly results-oriented, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and quality when delivering under pressure. You have a good proficiency level in financial modelling (F1F9 / FAST) and MS Office.
• You have a commercial mindset and a deep understanding of the financial markets, debt products, and the specific nuances of infrastructure project finance.
• You work independently on your own projects under director & partner supervision, while also being a dedicated and ambitious team player with very good communication skills.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.
