JAM in Belgium is seeking an experienced Construction / Site Manager to support a major industrial EPC project on site. This freelance role requires a strong background in heavy industry and on-site leadership.

You will manage day-to-day construction activities, coordinate contractors and site teams, and ensure works are safe, on schedule and met to the highest quality. Fluent English and VCA/VOL or equivalent safety certification are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager / Site Manager on major industrial or EPC projects.
• Experience in petrochemical, chemical, oil & gas, energy or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong track record coordinating contractors and subcontractors on large sites.
• Solid understanding of construction sequencing, planning, and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Fluent English is essential.

We are looking for an experienced Construction / Site Manager to support a major industrial project in Belgium.

This is a site-based freelance opportunity for an experienced construction professional with a strong background in industrial, petrochemical, chemical, oil & gas or large-scale EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction activities on site.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and site teams.
• Ensure construction works are delivered safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate activities across multiple disciplines and manage site interfaces.
• Monitor progress against project schedules and identify potential delays.
• Resolve construction issues and provide practical solutions on site.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, method statements and procedures.
• Lead site meetings and coordinate with project management, engineering and subcontractor teams.
• Monitor contractor performance and productivity.
• Support inspections, quality requirements and project handover activities.
• Ensure all site activities comply with applicable HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager / Site Manager / Construction Superintendent on major industrial or EPC projects.
• Experience within petrochemical, chemical, oil & gas, energy or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong experience managing contractors and subcontractors on large-scale construction sites.
• Good understanding of construction sequencing, planning, site coordination and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Strong communication and leadership skills. li>
• Fluent English essential.
• VCA / VCA-VOL or equivalent recognised safety certification required.
• VSA certification where required for site access.
• Must have the appropriate documentation to work as a freelancer in Belgium, including an A1 certificate where applicable and valid right-to-work / registration documentation.
• Must be able to meet all relevant site safety and compliance requirements before mobilisation.
