The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer for construction projects. You will perform field inspections, support incident investigations, and evaluate permits to mitigate hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include applying industrial hygiene practices, addressing hearing conservation, silica, asbestos and lead concerns, and maintaining knowledge of fire protection and OSHA regulations across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EH S related field is required.
• Certification such as BCSP GSP or ASP preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform regular job site inspections to identify, document and mitigate hazardous conditions and verify corrections.
• Support incident investigations with interviews, data collection, photographs and proper documentation.
• Evaluate planning/permits such as Hot Work, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Excavation, Steel Erection, Energized Work, Pre-cast Tilt-Up.
• Apply Industrial Hygiene principles in hearing conservation, silica, asbestos, lead work.
• Understand fire protection and proper storage/handling of flammable materials.
• Maintain working knowledge of OSHA regulations and site safety management.

Formation

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety Related Field

Recognized Safety Professional Certification (BCSP GSP or ASP)
