The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer for construction projects. This role requires a broad range of technical and managerial EH&S expertise across job sites.

Minimum accreditations include a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety and BCSP GSP/ASP certification. Successful candidates will demonstrate safety culture leadership, professional communication, and dedication to project team performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EH&S or related field required.
• BCSP GSP/ASP certification preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform regular job site inspections to identify hazards and verify corrective actions.
• Support incident investigations with data collection, interviews, and documentation.
• Evaluate permits and planning (hot work, confined space, fall protection, etc.) for safe mitigation.
• Apply industrial hygiene principles (noise, silica, lead, asbestos, etc.).
• Understand fire protection, storage of flammable/combustible materials, and OSHA regulations.
