SABCA is seeking a CNC Cutting Machine Operator in Brussels to machine aeronautical parts on CNC cutting machines in line with our quality and environmental standards. You will analyse parts' plans, set up machines, load CNC programs, and monitor production for accuracy.

We value basic CNC programming knowledge, ability to read drawings, and precise measuring skills. Experience in industrial production is a plus, and teamwork is essential in our dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of CNC programming and interpretation of drawings.
  • Ability to perform shop calculations such as cutting speeds and feeds.
  • Competence with standard measuring tools and gauges.

Responsabilités

  • Analyse plans and technical documents for machining.
  • Prepare, set up and operate CNC cutting machines.

  • Perform dimensional checks and report anomalies.
  • Carry out first level maintenance and assist with crane operation.

In Brussels, we have our Structural and Mechatronics Engineering offices, where all our new programs begin and our workshops are equipped with modern machines that produce complex metallic assemblies for aircraft and space launchers as well as advanced Thrust Vectoring Systems for space launchers.

Mission

Your main mission as a CNC Cutting Machine Operator is to carry out the machining of aeronautical parts on CNC cutting machines, in compliance with SABCA’s quality, safety and industrial standards.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse the plans and technical documents of the parts to be machined
  • Identify the different cutting and machining phases
  • Prepare, set up and operate CNC cutting machines
  • Load and use CNC programs
  • Monitor the proper functioning of the machines during production
  • Perform dimensional control of the produced parts
  • Report anomalies and participate in corrective actions
  • Carry out first-level maintenance of the equipment
  • Operation of overhead cranes and stackers (internal training)
You are also responsible for
  • Ensuring compliance with the EN9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard
  • Performing rigorous self-checks to guarantee the quality and conformity of the work
  • Transferring your skills and knowledge to new team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support
  • Managing confidential data and situations
  • Complying with safety, health, and environmental rules
  • Reporting risks and applying procedures to prevent incidents
Profile
Education / Experience
  • Education: /
  • Desired experience: Initial experience as a CNC operator or in an industrial production environment is a plus.

You demonstrate rigour, order and care in your work and enjoy working in a team.

Technical
  • You have basic knowledge of CNC programming;
  • You are able to read and interpret technical drawings;
  • You can perform workshop calculations, such as cutting speeds, etc.;
  • You are proficient in using standard dimensional measuring instruments.
