Job summary

SABCA Brussels is hiring a CNC Cutting Machine Operator to machine aeronautical parts in compliance with quality and safety standards. You will prepare, set up, and operate CNC cutting machines, read technical drawings, and monitor production while ensuring conformance with EN9100 and ISO 14001.

Growth in a team-focused aerospace environment welcoming continuous learning, with overhead crane operation training available.

Qualifications

• Initial experience as a CNC operator or in an industrial production environment is a plus.
• Soft skills: rigour, order and care in work and teamwork.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficient in using standard dimensional measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Analyse the plans and technical documents of the parts to be machined
• Identify the different cutting and machining phases
• Prepare, set up and operate CNC cutting machines
• Load and use CNC programs
• Monitor the proper functioning of the machines during production
• Perform dimensional control of the produced parts
• Report anomalies and participate in corrective actions
• Carry out first-level maintenance of the equipment
• Operation of overhead cranes and stackers (internal training)
• Ensuring compliance with EN9100 and ISO 14001 standards
• Transferring skills to new team members
• Managing confidential data and adhering to safety rules
• Reporting risks and applying procedures to prevent incidents

Mission:

Your main mission as a CNC Cutting Machine Operator is to carry out the machining of aeronautical parts on CNC cutting machines, in compliance with SABCA’s quality, safety and industrial standards.

Responsabilities:

• Performing rigorous self-checks to guarantee the quality and conformity of the work
• Transferring your skills and knowledge to new team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support
• Managing confidential data and situations
• Complying with safety, health, and environmental rules
• Reporting risks and applying procedures to prevent incidents

• Education: /
• Desired experience: Initial experience as a CNC operator or in an industrial production environment is a plus.

Skills:

• Soft Skills: You demonstrate rigour, order and care in your work and enjoy working in a team.
• Technical:
• You have basic knowledge of CNC programming;
• You are able to read and interpret technical drawings;
• You can perform workshop calculations, such as cutting speeds, etc.;
• You are proficient in using standard dimensional measuring instruments.
