Phoenix Technologies in Belgium is hiring a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and support containerized infrastructure on Azure. You will implement Terraform modules, manage pipelines, and maintain highly available IaaS/PaaS solutions. The role requires strong scripting, monitoring, and collaboration across teams.

Work involves on-call rotations, continuous learning, and effective communication with product and engineering teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Significant Terraform experience and modular code design.
• Hands-on with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Solid GitOps and infra-as-code practices.
• Azure cloud expertise with networking and security basics.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).

• Developing, Testing, Debugging, and Troubleshooting of Containerized Infrastructure.
• Build CI/CD pipeline configurations to orchestrate provisioning and deployment of both large and small-scale systems.
• Ensure solutions are well-engineered, maintainable, and delivered on schedule.
• Work with business and engineering teams to deploy new infrastructure in our Azure Platform.
• Monitor the availability, latency, and overall system health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
• Communicate status and risks to the product and Management teams.
• Help automate and streamline operations and processes.

Tasks

Requirements

Technical skills

• Significant experience writing Hashicorp Terraform configurations and modules. Good Knowledge in OpenTofu/Biceps in a plus.
• Solid experience in deploying/securing distributed apps with containers (Docker) & orchestration (Azure Kubernetes). Solid experience in ArgoCD, Helm, etc.
• Experience in DevOps and GitOps models with infra-as-code, config-as-code, policy-as-code, etc.
• Proficient in translating designs into fully developed Terraform code.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud (certification is a plus).
• Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security.
• Experience in enterprise-scale environments, building highly available IaaS and PaaS solutions
• Understanding of landing zones, cloud-native security, monitoring and logging tools, and Well-Architected Framework principals.
• Experience with containers related technologies and CI/CD tools - DevOps, pipelines, container repos, etc.
• Experience in programming and infra-automation tools - Terraform, Ansible, etc.
• A deep understanding of the Data Platform technologies and ability to work with services like ADF, Databricks, …
• Experience in Cloud logging, monitoring, and observability tools (ex: Grafana, Prometheus, …)
• Proficient in scripting languages (i.e. Bash, Powershell, CLI, Python).
