Pauwels Consulting is seeking a cloud professional in Mechelen for building and implementing a Google Cloud Foundation MVP. The role focuses on establishing a future-proof enterprise architecture to enable AI platform adoption while migrating workloads with strict security standards.

The candidate will define a robust Google Cloud architecture, landing zones, and cloud networking, with strong IAM/RBAC controls and automation using Infrastructure as Code.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• 5+ years development experience using Python.
• Expertise in cloud foundation design, landing zone implementation, and cloud networking architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM), RBAC, and security controls.
• Experience with AWS services, including networking, gateways, and container services.
• Fluency in English.

This role focuses on establishing a future-proof enterprise architecture to enable the adoption of advanced AI platforms and migrate existing workloads while maintaining strict security standards.

• Implement an enterprise-wide Google Cloud architecture aligned with organizational standards and policies.


• Define and deploy a future-proof cloud foundation to facilitate the adoption of AI platforms.


• Design and establish robust security, governance, and Identity & Access Management (IAM) frameworks.


• Automate platform components and foundational services using Infrastructure as Code.


• Implement logging, monitoring, and observability capabilities integrated with existing security platforms.


• Develop cost tracking and FinOps management processes for cloud optimization.


• Support the migration of existing workloads to the new cloud environment while ensuring architectural compliance.

• 5+ years experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in enterprise environments.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with AI platforms such as Google Gemini, Microsoft Foundry, or AWS Bedrock.

• Knowledge of the financial services industry.


• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.


• Active knowledge of Dutch.
