In4Matic is seeking an experienced cloud specialist to design and grow a secure, scalable Google Cloud environment supporting AI use cases like Google Gemini, with focus on architecture and hands-on implementation.

You will work across cloud architecture, security, governance, networking, operations and automation, partnering with DevOps teams to build landing zones and cost-aware operations.

Fluent in Dutch and English; long-term consulting opportunity in Belgium.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform in an enterprise environment.
• Experience building cloud foundations or landing zones.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, cloud security, networking and governance.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code.

Responsabilités

• Design an enterprise-wide Google Cloud architecture in line with internal standards, guidelines and policies.
• Set up a solid cloud foundation, with Google Gemini as one of the first use cases.
• Define architecture principles and design patterns for onboarding future DevOps teams.
• Help define governance, security and operational approach for the platform.
• Develop threat models and establish standards around encryption, access management, compliance and security policies.
• Design and implement security controls and connect with existing security processes.
• Set up IAM solutions, including RBAC, federated identity and least-privilege access.
• Implement logging, monitoring and observability, including integration with existing SIEM platforms.
• Define and improve operational processes around incident management and platform operations.
• Set up cloud management and FinOps processes, including cost tracking and showback/chargeback models.
• Advise on cloud governance and lifecycle management.
• Design and implement Google Cloud networking solutions.
• Automate infrastructure and platform components using Infrastructure as Code.
• Implement the necessary foundational services and security controls.
• Support the migration of existing workloads to the new Google Cloud platform.

Our client is looking for an experienced cloud specialist to help build and further develop a secure and scalable Google Cloud environment. The platform will support current AI use cases, including Google Gemini, while also providing a solid foundation for future growth and the onboarding of new DevOps teams.

The role combines architecture and hands‑on implementation. Depending on your experience, you will be involved in areas such as cloud architecture, security, governance, networking, operations and automation.

Responsibilities

Profile

We are looking for someone with a strong background in enterprise architecture who is comfortable designing and explaining enterprise‑grade cloud solutions. You have a good understanding of security, governance and operations, but are also able to get involved in the implementation and guide delivery teams along the way.

• Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform in an enterprise environment.

• Experience building cloud foundations or landing zones.

• Strong knowledge of IAM, cloud security, networking and governance.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code.

• Comfortable working across both architecture and implementation.

• Able to support and guide technical delivery teams.

Practical Information

• Experience with AI platforms such as Google Gemini, Microsoft Foundry or AWS Bedrock is a plus.

• Experience in a regulated environment or financial institution is a plus.

• Knowledge of FinOps practices is a plus.

• Fluent in Dutch and English.
