Job summary

Pauwels Consulting seeks a specialist to join our infrastructure team to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure cloud-based infrastructure in a modern cloud ecosystem. You will lead Azure-related governance, security, and automation efforts, with a focus on IaC using Terraform.

The role requires 5+ years in Azure, Terraform, and GitHub Actions, along with strong SDLC understanding and an English-fluent, proactive mindset.

Qualifications

Job description

Our client, a leading organization in the business services sector, is looking for a specialist to join their infrastructure team. The role involves the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure cloud-based infrastructure within a modern cloud ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design and monitor Azure cloud blueprints, including governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Advise on and implement best practices for scalability, high availability, and cost optimization.
• Develop automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure consistent deployments.
• Integrate new Azure services and technologies in alignment with the cloud strategy.
• Collaborate with delivery and technology teams to translate architectural decisions into practical, actionable solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues while maintaining clear design principles and technical guidelines.

Requirements

• You bring 5+ years of professional experience in the Azure ecosystem.
• You have skills in Terraform to deploy and manage resources via Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• You possess experience building CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions.
• You have a deep understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• You're a proactive professional with a strong affinity for software development to support delivery teams.
• You possess a builder mentality with a focus on testing and troubleshooting technical components.
• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Certified Azure Administrator Associate.
• Knowledge of Azure API Management (APIM).
• Knowledge of Dutch.
