Job summary

Deltalight is seeking a Certification Engineer to lead certification activities in our ISO 17025‑accredited laboratory in Wevelgem, Belgium. You will manage testing, review reports, and coordinate with international partners to ensure products meet safety and performance standards.

The role demands hands‑on lab testing across electrical, thermal and mechanical domains, strong documentation, and the ability to translate regulatory changes into practical guidance for design and production teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Electromechanics or equivalent experience.
• Broad technical interest with ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Hands-on experience with electrical, thermal and mechanical laboratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Manage testing activities within ISO 17025‑accredited laboratory; prepare and review test reports; communicate results to internal departments and external partners.
• Lead certification projects from A to Z; ensure compliance with international safety and performance standards.
• Act as go-to expert for R&D on technical standards and their practical implementation in product development.
• Plan and support electrical, thermal and mechanical laboratory testing; collaborate with operators and introduce new test methods.
• Stay up to date with local and international standards and translate regulatory changes into practical guidance for the business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with international certification bodies and external testing partners.
• Play a key role in maintaining and continuously improving our ISO 17025 laboratory management system.
