Delta Light Group in Belgium is seeking a Certification Engineer to manage the certification process for lighting solutions from concept to market launch. You'll work in our ISO 17025-accredited testing laboratory, coordinating testing activities and preparing technical reports with internal stakeholders and international partners.

You will stay current with international standards, lead projects end-to-end, and contribute to product development with a focus on documentation and reliability.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Broad technical interest across engineering disciplines.
• Hands-on experience with electrical, thermal and mechanical lab testing.
• Structured, methodical with strong documentation and test reports.
• Expertise in technical standards and product certification or motivation to specialize.
• Collaborative team player in Quality Department; able to manage projects.
• Excellent command of English and Dutch (written and spoken).

Responsabilités

• Manage testing activities within ISO 17025-accredited laboratory; prepare and review test reports and communicate results to internal departments and external partners.
• Lead certification projects from A to Z ensuring compliance with international standards.
• Act as go-to expert for R&D on technical standards and their implementation in product development.
• Plan and support electrical, thermal and mechanical laboratory testing with operators; introduce new test methods.
• Stay updated with local and international standards and translate changes into guidance for the business.
• Build and maintain relationships with international certification bodies and testing partners.
• Maintain and improve ISO 17025 laboratory management system.

As a Certification Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the certification process of our lighting solutions from concept to market launch. Working in our testing laboratory, you will coordinate testing activities, prepare and review technical reports, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and international certification partners. You will ensure our products comply with the latest international safety and performance standards while supporting innovation across the organization.

What you'll do

• Manage testing activities within our ISO 17025-accredited laboratory, prepare and review test reports, and communicate results to internal departments and external certification partners.
• Lead certification projects from A to Z, ensuring compliance with international safety and performance standards.
• Act as the go-to expert for R&D on technical standards and their practical implementation throughout the product development process.
• Plan and support electrical, thermal, and mechanical laboratory testing, working closely with laboratory operators and introducing new test methods where needed.
• Stay up to date with local and international standards and legislation, translating regulatory changes into practical guidance for the business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with international certification bodies and external testing partners.
• Play a key role in maintaining and continuously improving our ISO 17025 laboratory management system.

Your profile

• Holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Electromechanics or has an equivalent level through experience and motivation.
• Has a broad technical interest and enjoys working across multiple engineering disciplines, with a continuous eagerness to learn.
• Has hands-on experience with electrical, thermal and mechanical laboratory testing, enabling close collaboration with laboratory operators and the implementation of new testing methods.
• Works in a structured and methodical way, with a strong focus on documentation and the accurate preparation of test reports.
• Has expertise in technical standards and product certification or is highly motivated to become a specialist in this field.
• Is a collaborative team player within the Quality Department while being capable of independently managing certification projects.
• Has an excellent command of English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
