Job summary

BDO Belgium is seeking a Junior Business Risk Advisor to support clients in identifying and mitigating risks across Internal Audit, Risk Management and Internal Control projects. You will work with experienced teams to deliver pragmatic recommendations that improve clients' processes.

You will be part of a collaborative culture, travel within Europe and internationally as needed, and contribute to shaping risk-based solutions while developing your expertise in a dynamic advisory environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Economics or equivalent.
• Flexible, capable of juggling multiple deadlines.
• Willing to travel within Europe and internationally.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, or French and English; knowledge of all three is a plus.

• Assess business processes from a risk and control point of view.
• Identify vulnerabilities in clients’ control environments or processes through interviews and document review.

What will you be doing?

As a Junior Business Risk Advisor, you will play a key role in helping organizations identify and manage risks and controls. Together with more experienced colleagues, you work on various business risk-related projects such as Internal Audit, Risk Management and Internal Control. Your key responsibilities will be :

• Assess business processes from a risk and control point of view;
• Identifying and assessing vulnerabilities in clients’ control environments or processes through interviews and the inspection of systems and documents;
• Add value to clients by formulating pragmatic and tailored recommendations;
• Manage multiple concurring projects & ensuring timely delivery.

You will work as part of a team that helps to ensure that the strategies and operations of our clients align with their objectives. As a team you will provide independent, critical advice to develop tailored internal control frameworks and optimize business processes.

What do you bring to the table?

• You will graduate with a Master’s degree in Business Economics or equivalent.

• You take ownership of your responsibilities, are pragmatic in your approach, and work well within a team.
• You communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to clients.
• You are tech-savvy, with familiarity in audit tools and AI considered a plus.
• You are willing to travel as needed, both within Europe and internationally, and adaptable to diverse client environments.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English, or French and English. Knowledge of all three is a plus.
