Rhox is redesigning its customer-facing mobile app and related digital services. The Senior Mobile Application Business Analyst will connect business stakeholders, UX/UI designers, architects, developers and QA, turning complex journeys into screen mappings, wireflows and a structured backlog.

You will own the functional definition from discovery to development readiness, challenge requests, map journeys end-to-end, define features and acceptance criteria, and run workshops with Product Owners,

A major urban public transport organisation is undertaking a complete redesign of its customer-facing mobile application, alongside the digital services that support passenger journeys. The senior mobile application Business Analyst will connect business stakeholders, UX/UI designers, architects, developers and QA, turning complex user journeys into screen mapping, wireflows and a structured backlog documented in Confluence and Draw.io.

The mission

The application must represent end-to-end journeys rather than isolated screens, including real-time dependencies, offline scenarios, accessibility needs and nominal, error and exceptional states. The redesign requires a consistent link between business needs, features, screens, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria so that design and development teams work from the same functional model. The role sits in the Build and Transform team, which analyses, prepares and executes projects for the Business Solutions department.

As the senior Business Analyst, you will own functional definition from initial discovery through development readiness. You will challenge and clarify requests, structure end-to-end User Journeys, identify features and screen states, and make edge cases and critical scenarios explicit. You will work with product ownership, UX/UI, architecture, development, QA and project management, facilitating workshops and Agile/Scrum refinements. Your documentation and traceability will allow designers to produce coherent experiences and developers and testers to implement and validate without ambiguity.

Your responsibilities

• Translate business and user needs into prioritised end-to-end journeys, functional features and clear delivery outcomes.
• Map each journey to screens, states, dependencies, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, maintaining complete traceability.
• Define nominal, error, loading, empty, offline and accessibility scenarios, covering edge cases and critical scenarios before delivery.
• Prepare UX/UI inputs through screen inventories, screen mapping, functional wireflows and detailed behaviour descriptions.
• Structure and maintain complex backlogs, writing Epics and User Stories and preparing Agile/Scrum refinement sessions with the Product Owner and delivery teams.
• Maintain functional documentation in Confluence, facilitate cross-functional workshops and support QA and UAT scenarios.

Your profile

Essential skills

• Senior-level capability as a Digital Business Analyst on complex mobile projects, connecting business requirements to UX/UI and software delivery.
• Ability to structure complex User Journeys and backlogs, with complete mapping from needs to features, screens, stories and tests.
• Strong practice in functional writing, Acceptance Criteria, screen mapping, wireflows and the management of edge cases and critical scenarios.
• Working knowledge of Confluence and Draw.io for functional documentation and visual modelling.
• Practical experience with Agile/Scrum methods, refinement, prioritisation and collaboration with Product Owners, developers, QA and project managers.
• Clear communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to explain complex subjects, identify inconsistencies and align stakeholders across business and delivery teams.
