Job summary

My client is a leading international law firm with a Brussels office and a strong EU regulatory footprint. The mid-level associate role within the EU Chemicals Regulatory practice involves advising Belgian and international clients on REACH, CLP, biocides and related legislation, and representing in litigation.

You will develop regulatory strategies, monitor EU policy developments and support cross-border matters, with a requirement for admission to an EU Bar and strong academic background in EU

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience, ideally in EU regulatory law or chemicals / life sciences matters.
• Admission to an EU Bar.
• Strong academic background in EU law; an LL.M. is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on EU chemicals regulatory frameworks, including REACH, CLP, biocides and related legislation
• Develop regulatory strategy and provide compliance advice before EU institutions and national authorities
• Represent clients in advocacy and litigation before national courts and the EU Courts
• Monitor and analyse EU legislative and policy developments affecting regulated products and markets
• Advise on market access, enforcement and product compliance issues
• Support clients on complex, cross-border regulatory matters across the EU
