Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive BIM Manager to join our growing team in Belgium. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating all BIM activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring that digital design and construction information is delivered in accordance with project requirements, BIM standards, and client expectations.
Working closely with Clients, Consultants, Subcontractors, and Project Delivery Teams, you will drive BIM implementation, model coordination, clash resolution, and digital project delivery, supporting the successful execution of complex projects across sectors including Data Centres, Logistics, Pharmaceutical, and Advanced Manufacturing.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review, implement, and monitor the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Define and coordinate BIM roles, responsibilities, and workflows between the Client, Design Consultants, Main Contractor, and Subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain BIM standards, procedures, and project-specific requirements.
- Support the continuous improvement of BIM methodologies, digital workflows, and model-based project delivery processes.
- Prepare, review, and update BIM documentation, protocols, and project execution procedures as required.
- Review and assess design and construction models issued by Architects, Engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure alignment with project BIM requirements.
- Create, manage, coordinate, analyse, and maintain BIM construction models throughout all project phases.
- Lead multidisciplinary model coordination activities and ensure consistency across all disciplines.
- Manage model updates and federated models, ensuring all project information is current, accurate, and coordinated.
- Perform regular model audits to verify compliance with project standards, modelling guidelines, and information requirements.
- Support the production, validation, and coordination of 2D and 3D drawings within BIM environments.
- Identify, track, and manage design and construction clashes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead clash resolution workshops and coordination meetings with subcontractors, consultants, and project teams.
- Monitor the implementation of agreed corrective actions and ensure timely closure of clashes.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Act as the lead BIM representative for TSL during client BIM coordination meetings and project workshops.
- Provide BIM support and guidance to external consultants, design offices, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Facilitate collaboration between internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective BIM implementation.
- Promote best practices in BIM processes and digital construction methodologies across the project team.
- Ensure effective communication of BIM requirements, project deliverables, and coordination priorities.
Project Delivery & Documentation
- Oversee the creation and management of Building Information Models in accordance with contractual and project requirements.
- Review and validate model deliverables received from subcontractors and design consultants.
- Produce and coordinate IFC exports and other digital deliverables required for project execution and handover.
- Ensure model data integrity, accuracy, and completeness prior to project milestones and submissions.
- Coordinate the development and delivery of BIM handover documentation, including As-Built BIM Models, Red-Line Drawings, As-Built Drawing Packages, and other client-specific digital deliverables.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all BIM activities comply with project specifications, company procedures, and applicable industry standards.
- Monitor model quality and information accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
- Verify compliance with ISO 19650 principles and other relevant BIM standards where applicable.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of company BIM capabilities and best practices.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM Coordination or BIM Management within the construction industry.
- Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 / Autodesk Forma, and other BIM-related software.
- Experience with clash detection, model coordination, and BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
- Strong understanding of BIM processes, standards, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience on Data Centre, Industrial, or Mission Critical projects.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards.
- BIM‑related professional certification.
- Experience with BIM automation tools such as Dynamo or similar.
- Knowledge of Dutch and/or French.
