Job summary

Veolia Water is seeking an EHS Specialist based in Tienen, Belgium. You will drive a world-class safety culture, acting as the EHS representative for multiple Benelux activities and supporting water treatment projects from design to commissioning.

You will lead the implementation of EHS policies, manage training programs, and ensure compliance with Dutch/Belgian EHS regulations while collaborating with a multinational, dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Dutch and English is essential.
• Solid experience in a similar EHS role within industrial or service environments.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with proactive safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EHS culture to meet safety objectives across projects.
• Develop and maintain management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, VCA).
• Provide EHS advice for new projects from design to commissioning.
• Lead risk assessments, safety walks, incident investigations, and kick-off meetings.
• Deliver targeted EHS training to operational teams.
• Ensure compliance with Dutch/Belgian EHS legislation and procedures.
