Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Data QA Engineer based in Belgium to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of customer data in web data extraction and AI-assisted solutions.

You will use Python, SQL, and modern testing tools to translate requirements into clear QA criteria, perform exploratory and automated testing, and report findings with actionable insights to developers and project teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA or data quality experience.
• Proficiency in Python for data validation (Pandas/Jupyter).
• SQL skills to query and validate data.
• Web tech knowledge (HTML, XPath, JSON, HTTP, CSS).
• Experience testing HTTP/REST APIs and validating responses.
• Knowledge of test design, data management, exploratory and automated testing.
• Understanding of data quality principles (completeness, accuracy, drift).
• Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban) with developers.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM tools for test generation.
• Proactive, detail-oriented with ownership.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer data extraction requirements into clear QA criteria and strategies.
• Perform exploratory, manual, and automated testing where valuable.
• Execute test cycles on datasets to verify against specs and find defects.
• Document defects with reproducible steps and evidence.
• Apply statistics and visualizations to assess data quality and drift.
• Prepare quality reports and scoring metrics for teams and customers.
• Define testing scope, risks, and untested areas for informed decisions.
• Collaborate with managers and customers to clarify requirements before QA.
• Contribute to test automation framework improvements for coverage and reliability.
• Suggest QA process/tool Improvements including UI testing tools.
