Job summary

Nando in Wilrijk, Antwerp is seeking a dedicated Barman to own our bar and deliver Italian comfort through cocktails, wine and aperitivo. You will manage the bar operations, welcome guests, and ensure consistent quality during service.

Open 7 days a week, the role offers a full-time 38h contract with €15–€18 brutto/hour, meal vouchers, holiday pay, a 13th month, bike allowance, and staff uniforms. Real ownership starts day one and opportunities to grow within the group.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required; basic Dutch is required.
• Solid knowledge of classic cocktails, wine and Italian aperitivo culture.
• Ability to stay composed under pressure during busy service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, coffee and aperitivo with precision.
• Welcome guests at the bar and set a welcoming tone.
• Keep the bar stocked, clean and ready before service.

We're looking for a Barman to own our bar: someone who mixes with precision, keeps the bar running like clockwork during service, and makes every guest feel like they've pulled up a stool at Nonna's counter.

What you'll do

• Prepare and serve drinks — cocktails, wine, coffee, aperitivo classics — accurately and efficiently
• Welcome guests at the bar and set the tone for their evening
• Keep the bar stocked, clean, and ready before service hits
• Manage the pace of orders during busy periods without losing quality or friendliness
• Coordinate with the floor team so drinks and food orders stay in sync
• Handle guest requests and resolve minor issues with a calm, professional touch

What you bring

• Experience as a barman/bartender in hospitality
• Solid knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, and Italian aperitivo culture
• Composure under pressure — busy nights don't rattle you
• Organized, hands-on, hygiene- and detail-conscious
• English (required), basic Dutch (required); Italian or French is a real plus

Schedule

Restaurant is open 7/7, with 2 days off per week (not fixed, based on the schedule).
