Qargo is seeking a Backend Software Engineer in Ghent to join our cloud-based Transport Management Platform. You’ll design, build, and maintain robust backend services and APIs, primarily using Python, Django, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL, deployed on Google Cloud with Kubernetes.

You’ll collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and other backend developers to translate logistics challenges into scalable solutions, with ownership and impact across Europe as our customer base grows.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Software Engineering.
• At least 2 years of backend development experience.
• Experience with Python backend development and Django framework.
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and data queries.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud.
• Experience with Kubernetes and distributed systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
