Nexeo is seeking a Medior Back-End Java & Cloud Engineer to join one of Belgium’s leading energy companies. You will develop digital solutions for B2B customers and support Sales and Customer Operations.

You’ll work closely with SAP and Pricing IT teams to deliver reliable, scalable software. Your responsibilities include designing and maintaining back-end apps, building REST APIs, contributing to cloud-based architectures, and participating in the full software development lifecycle with SAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in back-end software development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing REST APIs, microservices and SQL driven systems.

Nexeo is currently looking for a Medior Back-End Java & Cloud Engineer to join one of Belgium’s leading energy companies.

You will join a multidisciplinary IT team responsible for developing and enhancing digital solutions for B2B customers, as well as supporting internal Sales and Customer Operations teams. You will work closely with SAP and Pricing IT teams to deliver reliable, scalable and innovative solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain back-end applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices.
• Contribute to the development of cloud-based solutions and scalable architectures.
• Analyse technical and functional requirements and translate them into robust software solutions.
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Integrate applications with SAP and other enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, architects, front-end developers and business stakeholders.
• Work closely with Sales and Customer Operations teams to deliver business-oriented solutions.
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging and performance optimization.
• Write clean, reusable and maintainable code following development best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Contribute to automated testing and software quality.
• Support CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in back-end software development.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Good knowledge of REST APIs, Microservices and SQL.
• Experience with Cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Good understanding of Git, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience with enterprise application integration.
• Knowledge of SAP is a strong plus.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
