Job summary

Médiane Benelux is seeking a Design System Engineer for a client active in the automotive sector. The role focuses on developing advanced mechatronic automotive systems, including electric machines, power electronics and controls.

You will collaborate with hardware, software, and validation teams to ensure robust system performance and compliance. Responsibilities include defining system requirements, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, analyzing interfaces, and translating customer needs

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechatronics/Automotive/Control engineering or related field.
• Experience in system engineering within automotive or mechatronic environments.
• Strong knowledge of electric machines, power electronics and control systems.
• Experience in signal processing, data analysis, and evaluating system performance.
• Ability to work with complex multidisciplinary systems and communicate with stakeholders.
• Professional level English.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop system requirements for mechatronic automotive applications.
• Contribute to the design and integration of electric machine systems, power electronics, and control systems.
• Analyse system behaviour, interfaces and functional interactions.
• Perform signal and data analysis to support development and validation.
• Translate customer and product requirements into technical specifications.
• Support system architecture definition and design decisions.
• Coordinate with hardware, software, controls, testing and validation teams.
• Identify technical risks and potential design improvements.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis during development and testing.
• Ensure system performance, robustness and compliance with project requirements.
