Paulig is seeking an Automation Engineer in Belgium to maintain automation standards and support technical teams. You will design and implement projects while working closely with the Automation Manager.

We are seeking an Automation Engineer to help us further building the future of food. You will be based in Belgium and report to the Automation Manager.

In your role as Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of automation standards, play a part in projects and support the technical teams to keep the factories running.

What you will do

• You will work together to design and implement technical projects as project manager, project leader or as member of a project team
• You are responsible for automation and electrical related works
• Make sure that our factories are up to date from an automation and electrical perspective
• Provide information to start/prepare business cases for projects
• Initiate, lead and participate in engineering projects to streamline production facilities as well as improving work environment and product quality

What we expect from you

• Bachelor or master of Science in Engineering or equivalent knowledge based on work experience. (Electromechanics, Automation,…)
• Analytical skills and mindset
• To enjoy this role, you need to be a team player with a positive and energetic can‑do attitude, capability for building partnerships, and at the same time ability to work independently
• This position suits someone who enjoys working in fast moving area and is able to handle new directions and working with several tasks simultaneously
• Fluent in Dutch and English, knowledge of French is a plus
• Not afraid to travel to the different facilities
• Be part of the on‑call duty
• Hands‑on approach
