BDO Belgium seeks a Technical Specialist – Audit & Assurance Technology & Standards to blend audit expertise with innovative methodology. You will translate standards into practical templates, guidance and digital tools, collaborating with the Audit & Assurance Tech & Innovation Committee and international teams to advance compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of audit experience in Big Four or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of audit standards, methodology and compliance.
• Proficiency with Excel advanced features and data analytics.
• Fluency in English; Dutch or French is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Translate evolving standards into practice – monitor and convert developments into updates for methodology, templates and guidance used by audit teams.
• Develop practitioner-friendly tools – revise and maintain audit templates, checklists and guidance, ensuring compliance and usability.
• Bridge innovation and compliance – collaborate with innovation and compliance teams to assess new tools and technologies and provide input.
• Contribute to audit technology initiatives – work with internal and external partners to explore new technologies that strengthen audit practice.
• Support pilots and implementations – analyse impact, coordinate pilots and identify training or change-management needs.
• Communicate changes clearly – produce guidance, change logs and practitioner updates when templates or standards evolve.
• Ensure consistency across technical initiatives – align with other technical specialists for quality across audit methodology.
