DSM-FIRMENICH's Louvain-la-Neuve site is seeking an Associate Manager, Expert SHE&S to provide technical leadership on complex SHE topics and strengthen a proactive risk-based safety culture across the site. You will partner with operations, engineering, and site leadership to ensure effective risk management, regulatory compliance, process safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Safety, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
• Prevention Advisor Level 1, or Prevention Advisor Level 2 with commitment to obtain Level 1.
• Experience in chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing environments is advantageous.
• Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Curious and proactive with confidence to challenge existing practices.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional discussions and build credibility.
• Ambition to grow as an HSE specialist and future leader.

Responsabilités

• Lead risk assessments such as HAZOP, PHA and MOC.
• Provide expertise on occupational health, industrial hygiene, ergonomics and process safety.
• Support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
• Contribute to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Coach CPPT through technical expertise, risk assessments and action follow-up.
• Support audits, inspections and compliance programs.

The Louvain-la-Neuve site is a strategic hub within dsm-firmenich's Taste, Texture & Health (TTH) business, combining innovation, manufacturing excellence, and a strong commitment to safe and sustainable operations. As the site continues to modernize through significant investments, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) remains a critical enabler of operational excellence.

We are seeking an Associate Manager, Expert SHE&S to provide technical leadership on complex SHE topics and strengthen a proactive, risk-based safety culture across the site. In this role, you will partner with operations, engineering, and site leadership to ensure effective risk management, regulatory compliance, process safety, and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead risk assessments such as HAZOP, PHA and Management of Change (MOC).
• Provide expertise on occupational health, industrial hygiene, ergonomics and process safety.
• Support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
• Contribute to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Actively support the CPPT through technical expertise, risk assessments and follow-up of actions.
• Support audits, inspections and compliance programs.
• Coach managers and teams on technical SHE matters

YOU BRING

• Master's degree in Engineering, Safety, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
• Prevention Advisor Level 1, or Prevention Advisor Level 2 with the commitment and capability to obtain Level 1 certification is a must requirement
• Experience within chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing environments is considered a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Naturally curious and proactive, with the confidence to challenge existing practices and drive positive change.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional discussions, build strong relationships, and establish credibility at all organizational levels.
• Ambition to grow as an HSE specialist and develop into a future leader within the organization.
• Fluency in English and French
