The Louvain-la-Neuve site at DSM-Firmenich is advancing safety and operational excellence within its Taste, Texture & Health business. As Associate Manager, Operational SHE & S, you will promote safe behaviors, lead incident investigations, and ensure standard execution across the manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Safety, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
• Experience building a strong safety culture and driving operational excellence.
• Knowledge of incident investigation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience within chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing environments is considered a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive sustainable behavioral change.
• Strong training and knowledge-transfer skills and ability to develop others.
• Fluency in English and French.

• Lead and coordinate safety observations, near-miss reporting and follow-up actions.
• Facilitate incident investigations and Root Cause Analyses (RCA).
• Deliver HSE onboarding and support the development of employee HSE competencies.
• Coach teams and managers in applying HSE standards and best practices.
• Monitor operational HSE performance indicators and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a strong field presence and act as a trusted partner for operations.

The Louvain-la-Neuve site is a strategic hub within dsm-firmenich's Taste, Texture & Health (TTH) business, where innovation, manufacturing excellence, and sustainability come together to shape the future of food and beverage. As the site continues to modernize through significant investments and transformation initiatives, Safety, Health, Environment & Sustainability (SHE&S) remains a critical enabler of operational excellence and sustainable growth.

As Associate Manager, Operational SHE & S, you will play a key role in strengthening the safety culture across our manufacturing site. You will work closely with managers and operators to promote safe behaviors, facilitate learning from incidents, and ensure SHE&S standards are implemented consistently in day-to-day operations. Through your coaching, guidance, and visible presence in the field, you will help create an engaged, proactive, and safety-first culture while supporting the site's journey toward operational excellence.
