Job summary

Etex Group in Belgium is seeking an Associate Category Manager - Logistics to shape sourcing strategies for logistics subcategories and manage cross-regional programs. You will own sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier governance within your portfolio.

You will lead multi-country tenders, collaborate with business stakeholders, and drive savings, cost optimization, and supplier performance. English communication and stakeholder negotiation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Several years in strategic procurement, category management, sourcing, or supplier management within logistics.
• Proven track record leading multi-country logistics tenders and sourcing projects.
• Strong experience negotiating with carriers and LSPs.
• Demonstrated success in contract implementation and delivering measurable results.
• Advanced logistics category strategy development and deployment.
• Advanced knowledge of supplier relationship management and governance.
• Advanced capability in logistics spend analysis and freight-market intelligence.
• Deep understanding of logistics contracting incl. service levels, fuel indexation, and charges.
• Proven matrix leadership across cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and coach procurement teams across countries.
• Professional-level English communication and senior stakeholder negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for logistics subcategories aligned with global strategy.
• Translate objectives into multi-year value roadmaps and annual plans with stakeholders.
• Coordinate demand management and supplier engagement across countries and divisions.
• Analyze freight markets, capacity, transport economics, and supplier capabilities.
• Lead logistics and freight tenders, including supplier evaluation and contract management.
• Deliver savings, cost avoidance, working-capital improvements, and compliance targets.
• Drive total-cost optimization via benchmarking and network analysis.
• Own commercial relationships and performance governance for logistics providers.
• Establish supplier scorecards and conduct business reviews with corrective actions.
• Identify and mitigate supply, market, and regulatory risks for logistics resilience.
• Lead transport sustainability and decarbonization initiatives with suppliers.
• Drive cross-functional implementation of sourcing initiatives across regions.
