argenX is seeking a lead in Statistical Modeling and Innovative Solutions to advance study design and analyses in clinical development, including adaptive designs, external/hybrid controls, model-informed drug development, and Bayesian methods. You will pilot AI/ML approaches with rigor.

PhD in Statistics or Biostatistics with 6+ years in pharma/biotech, and location in Belgium or US (EST). The role offers €100,000–€137,500 base and participation in incentives, supporting a global immunology

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field with 6+ years pharma/biotech clinical development experience.
• Strong track record of proposing and implementing innovative trial designs.
• Candidates must be located in Belgium or US (EST time zone) to be considered for this role.

Responsabilités

• Lead the development and implementation of innovative study design and analysis methods in clinical trials, such as adaptive designs, external/hybrid/synthetic control, model-informed drug development, and Bayesian approaches.
• Pilot and integrate fit-for-purpose AI/ML solutions for disease modeling and precision-medicine applications, building internal capability and external partnerships with statistical rigor.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate internal and external evidence in a quantitative framework and translate it into data-driven decision recommendations.
• Provide statistical consultation on study design and analysis to address challenges in clinical projects.
• Contribute statistical expertise to regulatory interactions on novel and complex designs, including preparing briefing materials and engaging with health authorities.
• Strengthen organizational capability in innovative drug development by mentoring junior statisticians and leading trainings and seminars on advanced methodologies and their practical implementation.
