Job summary

OneTech Solutions BV seeks an Asset Accounting Expert to strengthen governance of CAPEX, fixed and intangible assets in a CAPEX-heavy energy environment. You will combine hands-on accounting with advisory duties, shaping capitalization policies and controls across a growing investment portfolio.

You will partner with Finance, IT and Engineering, supporting audit responses and driving continuous improvement in accounting processes and automation opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and Asset Accounting principles.
• Solid knowledge of IAS 16 and IAS 38.
• CAPEX accounting and capitalization expertise.
• OPEX vs CAPEX assessment.
• Fixed and intangible asset accounting.
• Ability to document complex accounting judgments.
• Strong analytical and financial reporting capabilities.
• Advanced Excel.
• SAP Asset Accounting (FI-AA) is a plus.
• Audit and internal-control experience.
• Ability to challenge stakeholders constructively.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to translate accounting requirements into practical business guidance.
• Autonomous, structured, and solution-oriented.
• Collaborative mindset across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert on CAPEX accounting and capitalization principles under IFRS.
• Review complex and high-value investment projects, including digital and software initiatives.
• Advise Project Managers, Controlling teams and Finance stakeholders on capitalization matters throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure audit-ready documentation supporting accounting judgments.
• Support remediation of audit recommendations relating to CAPEX accounting and fixed/intangible assets.
• Lead accounting follow-up of software development and digital transformation projects.
• Assess capitalization eligibility of internal and external development costs.
• Monitor accounting treatment of Agile, Cloud, Platform and emerging-technology projects.
• Ensure recognition, amortization and impairment assessment of intangible assets.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities related to fixed and intangible assets.
• Analyse CAPEX trends, asset movements and key accounting estimates.
• Coordinate responses to internal and external audit requests.
• Strengthen internal control around asset accounting processes.
• Document and improve asset accounting and capitalization processes and governance.
• Identify opportunities for automation, digitalisation and efficiency improvements.
• Contribute to accounting process improvements and guidance on CAPEX, intangibles and capitalization policies.
• Act as a link between Finance, IT, Engineering, Project Management and Controlling.
• Support alignment of asset accounting practices and governance frameworks.
• Share expertise and strengthen accounting knowledge within the team.
